Gazprom Neft opens new deposit in Yamal-Nenets, expects license this year
MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - Gazprom Neft has opened a new gas condensate field in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District in a section where it has been doing geological exploration, the company press service told Interfax.
During the prospecting work in the Karasevsko-Tanlovskoye section, company subsidiary LLC Meretoyakhaneftegas opened the Yuzhno-Karasevskoye gas condensate deposit.
Right now, the license to prospect and extract hydrocarbons at the new deposit is being processed. C1 condensate reserves are 126,000 tonnes, C2 - 741,000 tonnes. C1 gas reserves are 732 million cubic meters (bcm), C2 - 43.19 million cubic meters.
"Meretoyakhaneftegas has applied to the federal subsurface-resource agency for Karasevsko-Tanlovskoye's inclusion on the list of sections whose resources are available for study on the resource-user's own funds. The license for geological study is expected in 2010," a Gazprom Neft spokesman said.
Karasevsko-Tanlovskoye's would be Meretoyakhaneftegas's third license for subsurface resource usage rights. It already holds usage licenses to the Meretoyakhinskoye and Yuzhno-Karasevskoye resource sections.
