Russia will harvest 97 mln tonnes of grain again this year

MOSCOW. April 13 (Interfax) - Russia's grain harvest this year will weigh in at around 97 million tonnes, Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said at a session of the Federation Council's agrarian and food policy and fishing-industry committee in Moscow on Tuesday.

"This is the forecast being discussed," Skrynnik said. Regardless, "the emphasis will be on feed crops" this year, she said.

Russia harvested 97 million tonnes of grain last year, as well.
