RTS opens representative office in London

MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - The Russian Trading System (RTS) has registered a representative office in London, RTS Exchange Europe Limited, the exchange said on Wednesday.

The office will promote RTS products and services for international investors and create optimal conditions for global investors on the Russian stock market.

Yekaterina Troshinkina will head RTS Exchange Europe Ltd.

"We believe that raising attracting foreign investors to the Russian market is one of our main tasks. The entry of global investors will facilitate growth in liquidity on the Russian stock market and raise its profile in the international arena," Roman Goryunov, the chairman of the RTS, who was quoted as saying in a press release.

Troshinkina earlier headed the Russian subsidiary of the McGraw-Hill Companies.

The Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) announced in February that it was considering a representative office in London. In the first half of the year, the exchange should confirm its strategy for working with different types of non-resident clients.
