AvtoVAZ plans to cut number of own dealers 38% by 2020
TOLYATTI. April 27 (Interfax) - Russia's largest automotive plant AvtoVAZ plans to reduce the number of its own dealers from 116 now to 70 by 2020, company Vice President for Strategy Grigory Khvorostyanov said at a press conference.
AvtoVAZ also has 316 independent sales centers, and is looking to double that to 625-630 by 2020, Khvorostyanov said. The company plans to have its own dealer chain account for 10% of all sales points in Russia and for 20% over aggregate AvtoVAZ product sales.
