Inter RAO boosts Q1 earnings more than 20-fold to 725.6 mln rubles

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - Inter RAO boosted net profit 20.5-fold to 725.6 million rubles in Q1 2010 from 35.1 million rubles in the same period of last year, the electricity company said in materials.

Inter RAO incurred 1.262 billion rubles in net losses in the same quarter a year ago, and attributes the turnaround mainly to profit to increased sales revenue from exporting electrical power - 1.109 billion rubles.

Inter RAO is Russia's import/export electricity monopoly with assets both with Russia and without.
