Polyus to boost gold output by 3% in 2010

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - OJSC Polyus Gold plans to boost gold production by 3% in 2010, a company spokesperson said during a conference call on Thursday.

Polyus Gold Group's enterprises produced 1.26 million ounces of gold in 2009, increased their output by 3.2%. Therefore, the group could produce 1.3 million ounces of gold in 2010.

The increase in gold output will largely be the result of rising production at the Titimukhta project in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and in Kazakhstan (KazakhGold operations), the representative said.
