MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - Gazprom's current daily production of gas fell below 1.4 billion cubic meters at the start of May, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) said.

On May 2, the company's production came to 1.414 bcm but dropped to 1.3888 bcm the next day.

On May 4, production came to 1.39 bcm, which is an increase of 35.5% from the same day in 2009 (1.027 bcm).

Gas production in Russia came to 1.772 bcm compared to 1.348 bcm a year previous.

Novatek currently produces over 86 million cubic meters a day whereas the company's daily production two months ago stood at over 100 mcm.
