Weight of Gazprom shares in MSCI Russia Standard Index rises 2.5 pts to 28.3%

GENEVA. May 12 (Interfax) - The weight of Gazprom shares in the MSCI Russia Standard Index, maintained by MSCI Barra, has been increased 2.56 points to 28.31% following a semiannual review.

The change results from an increase in the foreign inclusion factor (FIF), a measure of the share of equity accessible to foreign investors, and the number of shares in free float, MSCI said in materials.

Changes in the FIF increased the weight of Rosneft shares 1.07 points to 5.9%.

However, the weight of MMC Norilsk Nickel shares declined 0.96 points to 6.36%.
