Russian companies keen to work in Namibia
MOSCOW. May 20 (Interfax) - Russian companies are showing great interest in the Namibian market, said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
"We have yet to do a lot to develop our trade and economic ties," Putin said at a meeting with Namibian President Hifikepunye Pohamba.
Our cooperation prospects are "not bad," he said.
"The leading Russian companies are showing great interest in working on the market in your country," the prime minister told Pohamba.
Russia and Namibia have long historical relations, Putin said. "We would very much like to transform our good relations into the area of economic development," Putin said.
