Polyus Gold to pay 15.38 rubles a share for 2009

MOSCOW. May 21 (Interfax) - Polyus Gold will pay a dividend of 15.38 rubles per share for 2009, including interim dividends, the No. 1 Russian gold producer said following its AGM on May 21.

The dividend includes an interim dividend of 6.55 per share or a total of 1.249 billion rubles for H1 2009 and final dividend of 9.28 rubles per share or 1.769 billion rubles.

Polyus Gold did not pay dividends for 2008, which it closed with net losses to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS). It paid 78% of its net profit for H1 2009 to shareholders. Net profit last year as a whole was 3.359 billion rubles.

The shareholders elected four representatives of Suleiman Kerimov's Nafta Moskva and three of Mikhail Prokhorov's Onexim to the new board of directors.
