Gas tariffs to grow 15%, electric 13%-15% at most in 2011

MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - Gas tariffs for industrial users will grow 15% and electricity prices should not rise more than 13%-15% in 2011, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at Thursday's government meeting.

"Gas prices will rise approximately 26.5% this year but just 15% in 2011. Growth in electricity prices, even accounting for decisions to liberalize that market, shouldn't exceed 13%-15%. That will also be less than in 2010, when growth of 17% is expected. All of this applies to industrial [tariffs]," Putin said.
