Russia cuts aluminum, nickel exports, ups copper in 4 mths

MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Russia exported tentatively 1.127 million tonnes of aluminum in January-April, 1.7% less than in the same period of last year, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said.

Aluminum exports grew 9.5% year-on-year to $1.98 billion in value, most of them to non-CIS countries.

Copper exports rose 19% in tonnage and 150% in value. Nickel exports were down slightly in tonnage, to 72,100 tonnes from 73,000 tonnes, but doubled in value.
