Rostelecom wins appeal against 1.8 bln rubles tax claims
MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Rostelecom has won an appeal against 1.809 billion rubles in tax claims dating back to 2004-2006.
The claims were filed following a tax audit in September-December 2007. Rostelecom challenged claims for 1.803 billion rubles with the Moscow Arbitration Court last year, and the deadline for tax authorities to try and overturn the appeals expired on June 3.
The same court also quashed claims for 6 million rubles against Rostelecom for 2004-2006.
Rostelecom is also challenging tax claims for 600 million rubles dating back to 2007-2008. Rostelecom has said it reflected its tax circumstances correctly in book-keeping reports, but t for certain transactions uncovered during the tax audit it might not get the whole claim overturned and has provisioned 18.3 million rubles in case is does not.
