Russia cancels capital gains tax for long-term direct investment from 2011 - Medvedev

ST. PETERSBURG. June 18 (Interfax) - Starting from 2011, Russia will cancel capital gains tax for long-term direct investment, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.

"Today I am ready to announce that from 2011 the capital gains tax for long-term direct investment will be fully abolished," he said at the economic forum in St. Petersburg on Friday.
