Renault could transfer production of its models from Avtoframos to AvtoVaz

ST. PETERSBURG. June 18 (Interfax) - French concern Renault could transfer production from the Moscow-based Avtoframos plant to Avtovaz and start assembly of new Nissan models at the Volga plant, AvtoVaz's president, Igor Komarov, told journalists on Friday.

He said this should be determined in the next three to four months.

"This will likely be both a transfer and new models. Everything hinges on Renault's actual plans. Renault will determine the line in the near future. However, the Nissan automobiles are those that are not produced in Russia," Komarov said.
