Putin promises to stabilize natural monopoly prices in 2011

NOVOKUZNETSK. June 24 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has promised to halt the growth of natural monopoly prices in 2011.

"We will do our best to contain the growth of natural monopoly [prices] for industrial consumers next year," he told miners in Novokuznetsk on Thursday.

The prices in question are for gas, electricity, railroad and pipeline transportation charges, Putin said.
