Steel pipe facility breaks ground in Yixin
Shanghai. June 29. INTERFAX-CHINA - Jiangsu Sandeli Group, a domestic stainless steel pipe producer, has started construction of a 100,000-ton welded steel pipe facility in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, state media reported on June 28.
According to Yixing Daily, the project requires an investment of RMB 600 million ($88.36 million) with production scheduled to begin in early 2011. The facility is expected to produce 100,000 tons of industrial stainless steel pipe and 50,000 tons of steel pipe annually for use in the nuclear power industry.
The company saw a 10,000-ton steel pipe facility commence production earlier this month. It will also supply the nuclear power industry.
Jiangsu Sandeli is based in Yixing. Its major products are welded stainless steel pipe and stainless steel sheet.
