Novatek boosts gas output by 9.6% to 8.41 bcm in Q2

MOSCOW. July 9 (Interfax) - OJSC Novatek boosts natural gas output by 9.6% year-on-year to 8.41 billion cubic meters in the second quarter of 2010, the company said in a statement.

Production of liquid hydrocarbons (gas condensate and oil) up 15.6% to 881,000 tonnes.

Gross gas output in the first half went up by 15.4% to 18.4 bcm and liquid hydrocarbons - 18.4% to 1.7 million tonnes.

In the second quarter and first half of 2010, Novatek refined 833,000 tonnes of gas condensate and 1.649 million tonnes of instable gas condensate at the Purovsk Plant, respectively.

The company's exports in the second quarter of 2010 were nine tanker shipments of stable gas condensate in comparison with 11 tanker shipments in the same period of 2009. As of June 30, 2010, 802 million cubic meters of natural gas and 332,000 tonnes of stable gas condensate were goods in transit and leftover end products as reserves before reaching their destinations.
