Industrial consumer prices down 3.1% in June

MOSCOW. July 15 (Interfax) - Prices for industrial producers in Russia fell by 3.1% in June 2010, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said in preliminary statistics.

Analysts surveyed by Interfax at the end of June forecast industrial prices to increase by 1.8%.

The price increase came to 2.2% in June 2009.

The producer price index has increase by 5.5% since the start of 2010 and 9.8% since June 2009.

In resource production the decrease in price for crude oil in June came to 12.5%. Prices for iron ore increased by 5.2%.

Prices for petroleum products at processing enterprises went down by 2%.

Prices for the production, transfer and distribution of electricity, gas and water decreased by 0.7% in June.
