Car production in Russia up 68% in H1 - Rosstat
MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Car production in Russia in January-June 2010 increased by 67.9% year-on-year to 488,000 cars.
Truck production (including chassis) increased by 51.1% in the six months to 60,100 units and buses - 38.8% to 15,600 units.
Tractor production went down by 11.1% to 3,000 units.
Production of tyres, covers and patches increased by 43% to 18.1 million units.
Russia's main car and truck producers are OJSC Avtovaz , Sollers (RTS: SVAV Group), OJSC Avtoframos (Renault's plant in Moscow), Kamaz and GAZ Group .
