Ex Econ Ministry dept chief becomes IDGC Holding deputy general director

MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax) - Mikhail Kurbatov, formerly director of the Russian Economic Development Ministry department for state tariff regulation, has become the new deputy general director at OJSC IDGC Holding.

Kurbatov will be responsible for strategic development issues at the company, and for the digitization and computerization of business processes, the holding said in a statement. The holding told Interfax that there was no such post earlier.

Kurbatov will also be acting "pro bono" as advisor to the economic development minister, the IDGC statement says.

Born in 1981, Kurbatov worked at the Economic Development Ministry since 2004, and is on the supervisory board at Market Council.

IDGC Holding is run by the Russian government and has controlling interests in eleven inter-regional grid companies that supply electricity to 69 of Russia's regions.
