Excise duties on tobacco goods will go up 30%-40 a year in 2011-2013

MOSCOW. July 21 (Interfax) - Excise duties on tobacco goods in 2011-2013 will go up by 30%-40% annually, the head of the Finance Ministry's department for tax and customs policy, Ilya Trunin, told journalists on Wednesday.

The Finance Ministry said in its materials that excise duties on filtered cigarettes in 2011 could be set at 280.4 rubles per 1,000 units, 2012 - 360 rubles and 2013 - 460 rubles. The rate on filterless cigarettes could come to 250 rubles, 360 rubles and 460 rubles, respectively.

As a result of these proposals, the federal budget will received an additional 20.1 billion rubles in 2011, 34.7 billion in 2012 and 49.6 billion rubles in 2013.
