Dollar slips, euro ticks up in first MICEX trading
MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - The dollar slipped slightly and the euro rose somewhat in first MICEX trading Thursday, but the ruble lost a little ground against the bicurrency basket.
MICEX Tomorrow trading in the dollar opened at 30.24-30.255 rubles/$1, which was 1-2 kopecks lower than Wednesday close and 3-4 above the current official exchange rate.
Euro trading began at 39.33-39.35 rubles/eru1, which was 3-5 kopecks above the previous day's close and near the official exchange rate.
The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) ticked up 1-2 from Wednesday to 34.34-34.35 rubles. The Interfax Center for Economic Analysis noted that the basket was not far from the Central Bank's intervention trigger.
