North-West Telecom sales revenues rise 9% in H1

ST. PETERSBURG. July 29 (Interfax) - OJSC North-West Telecom , the St. Petersburg-based fixed-line operator for northwestern Russia, saw sales revenues rise 9.1% year-on-year to 13.954 billion rubles in the first half of this year, the company said.

Revenue from communications services was up 8.5% at 12.826 billion rubles.

The main income growth drivers were Internet and data-transmission services, and local communications, which were up a respective 18.5% and 7.3% year-on-year.

Production costs were up 7.7% at 11.862 billion rubles, EBITDA - 21.2% higher at 6.38 billion rubles, and the EBITDA margin increased 4.6 percentage points to 45.7%.

North-West Telecom's main shareholder is Svyazinvest with 39.528% of charter capital (50.76% of voting shares).
