CNPC to double length of pipelines by 2015 - company executive

Shanghai. August 4. INTERFAX-CHINA - China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), China's largest oil producer, plans to increase the total length of its pipelines to 100,000 kilometers (km) by 2015, state media quoted a senior company executive as saying on August 3.

According to Xinhua news agency, Yu Baocai, CNPC's deputy general manager, said at an internal meeting that in 2009, the company's operated 50,000 km of pipelines which accounted for 70 percent of China's crude oil pipelines, 90 percent of its gas pipelines and 50 percent of its fuel pipelines.
