SMOLENSK. Aug 4 (Interfax) - Smolensk region Governor Sergei Antufyev and Servolux company representative Yevgeny Baskin inked on Wednesday an agreement of intent concerning the building in the Kardymov region of a large poultry-production outfit costing 2 billion rubles, the regional administration said.

It will be able to raise 50,000 tonnes of broiler chickens per year.

"The planned volume of investment in building the facilities will be 2 billion rubles. The new enterprise's creation will make it possible to create five hundred new jobs in the municipality," the administration said.

As it looks now, the outfit will reach full production capacity in November of 2013.

The international company group Servolux, headquartered in Britain, was set up in 1999. Its main line of business is agro-industrial projects in Eastern European markets - in Belarus and Ukraine.
