MICEX opens with share gains, index up 0.1%
MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The MICEX Stock Exchange opened for business on the up-tick Thursday, with the MICEX index up 0.13% to 1419.88 points in the first minute of trading.
Most benchmark shares had gained 0.1%-0.4% by 10:31 a.m. Moscow time, and the RTS index was down 0.1% at 1522.29 points. RTS futures were 3.4 points lower against the underlying asset.
VTB was up 0.4% on the MICEX, Gazprom had gained 0.1%, Norilsk Nickel 0.2%, Lukoil 0.3%, Polyus Gold 0.01%, Rosneft 0.1%, Rostelecom 0.4%, Surgutneftegas 0.3%, and Tatneft 0.1%.
But Gazprom Neft was down 0.3% and Sberbank of Russia 0.2%.
