Ukraine lowers oil output by 12.9% in Jan-Jul
KYIV. Aug 13 (Interfax) - Ukraine reduced oil production by 12.9% year-on-year, or by 221,000 tonnes), to 1.495 million tonnes in January July 2010, the Fuel and Energy Ministry told Interfax.
Production of gas condensate went down by 7.8% year-on-year (48,200 tonnes) to 572,800 tonnes in the seven months.
National oil company Naftogaz Ukrainy's oil production went down by 13.8% (220,900 tonnes) to 1.382 million tonnes and gas condensate - 5.9% (33,100 tonnes) to 530,300 tonnes.
OJSC Ukrnafta reduced oil production by 14.5% to 1.288 million tonnes, gas condensate - 4% to 171,500 tonnes, Ukrgazvydobuvannya - 3.1% to 89,200 tonnes and gas condensate - 7.8% to 317,500 tonnes, Chernomornaftogaz produced 4,900 tonnes of oil (same as the first seven months of 2009) and gas condensate - up 1.7% to 41,300 tonnes.
Other oil and gas producers in Ukraine decreased oil output by less than 0.1% to 112,930 tonnes and gas condensate - 26.3% (15,150 tonnes) to 42,440 tonnes.
It was earlier reported that oil production in Ukraine went down by 7.1% in 2009 to 2.9 million tonnes while gas condensate output decreased by 5.9% to 1.05 million tones. Naftogaz Ukrainy's enterprises saw oil production decrease to 2.688 million tonnes and gas condensate - 6.3% to 954,900 tonnes.
