Tatneft looks to boost petrochemical product output 24% in 2010
MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - OJSC Tatneft has raised its target petrochemical-product output target for this year from 22 billion rubles to 24.1 billion rubles, which would end up being a 24% increase over the 19.4 billion rubles of 2009 output, the company said.
In the first half Tatneft's petrochemical-complex companies (not counting LLC Nizhnekamsk Tire Plant) produced commodity gods worth 11.4 billion rubles, which was 7.9% over target. Output of automobile tires was up 28% year-on-year at 5.38 million units. Production of technical carbon increased 15% to 49,878 tonnes.
The tire sales target for 2010 is 10.5 million units, or 7% less than last year. The plan now is to produce 103,700 tonnes of technical carbon (102,000 tonnes the earlier plan), which would be 2% more than produced in 2009.
Management company Tatneft-Neftekhim runs Tatneft's petrochemicals complex, which includes tire-maker Nizhnekamshina and Nizhnekamsktekhuglerod.
