Construction begins on Hebei steel pipe company
Shanghai. August 19. INTERFAX-CHINA - Construction of Tianjin You Fa Steel Pipe Group Co. Ltd.'s new RMB 1.18 billion ($173.70 million) steel pipe subsidiary in Handan City, Hebei Province began on Aug. 18, state media reported on the same day.
According to a report on the Web site for the Hebei Daily, construction will be divided into three phases. The first phase will be put into operation by the end of November, after which the company will have an annual production capacity of 1.7 million tons for high-frequency welded pipe, 600,000 tons for hot dip galvanized steel pipe, 1.7 million tons for spirally-welded pipe and 300,000 tons for shaped square pipe.
Based in the town of Daqiuzhuang, Tianjin, You Fa Group is an integrated welded steel pipe maker with a designed annual production capacity of 9.95 million tons.
Handan City, the location of the new facility, is in Hebei's Cheng-an county.
