Sinopec's first LNG service station starts operation

Shanghai. August 19. INTERFAX-CHINA - China National Petroleum and Chemical Corp. (Sinopec Group), China's second-largest oil company, announced on Aug. 19 that it put its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) service station into operation.

Located in Guiyang City, capital of Guizhou Province, the station is designed to provide 21,000 cubic meters of natural gas to 200 LNG buses per day, Sinopec said.

Together with Sinopec's other planned LNG charging in Guiyang, the new station will serve the city's 2,800 LNG-fueled buses, according to the company.

Sinopec also announced that it would gradually begin to provide LNG and electric vehicle charging services to its over 29,000 gas stations throughout China.
