Samaraneftegaz wins auction for Samara oil field

SAMARA. Aug 19 (Interfax) - OJSC Samaraneftegaz, which is a subsidiary of Rosneft , has been declared the winner of an auction for the rights to develop resources at the Mozharovskoye field in the Samara region, the region's Directorate for Natural Resource Use said.

Samaraneftegaz offered 154 million rubles at a starting payment of 140 million rubles.

Rosneft also participating in the auction.

The field is located in the Kinelsky district of the Samara region near to other fields that are being developed by Samaraneftegaz, OJSC Samara-Nafta and OOO Kommunarskoye NGDU.

The field's C1 recoverable oil reserves came to 663,000 tonnes as of January 1. Forecast D1 oil resources come to 440,000 tonnes.
