Russian oil exports outside CIS rise 5.8% in Jan-July; gas up 5.1% - customs
MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Russia boosted oil exports outside the CIS 5.8% in January-July year-on-year to 128.473 million tonnes, the Federal Customs Service said in a statement.
Petroleum product exports rose 11.3% in the seven months, including increases of 12.1% for diesel fuel and 14% for liquid fuels. Exports declined 39.3% for gasoline and 32% for kerosene. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports were up 570% in the period.
In value terms, the fuel and energy exports increased 53.5% on the year-earlier period.
Fuel and energy exports accounted for 71.5% of all exports outside the CIS, up from 69.2% in January-July 2009.
Oil exports to the CIS declined 16.4% to 7.41 million tonnes in the seven months.
Petroleum product exports to the CIS were down 12.8% year-on-year, including a 21.3% decline in gasoline exports and a 3.7% decline in liquid fuel exports.
In value terms fuel and energy exports to the CIS were up almost 100% compared with the same period last year. They accounted for 50.6% of all exports to the CIS, up from 36.4%.
Russia exported 135.884 million tonnes of oil to all destinations in the period.
Natural gas exports totaled 87.8 bcm, including 63.3 bcm outside the CIS (up 5.1% year-on-year) and 24.6 bcm to the CIS (up 160%).
