China Mobile records 13.42 mln 3G subscribers as of August
Shanghai. September 20. INTERFAX -CHINA - China Mobile Communications Corp. (China Mobile) registered 13.42 million 3G subscribers by the end of August 2010, up 13.4 percent month-on-month, according figures released by China Mobile on Sept. 20.
According to the China Mobile data, the company's total subscribers reached 564 million in the same period, up 0.97 percent month-on-month.
At the end of July China Mobile's 3G subscribers numbered 11.83 million, or 42.1 percent of China's total 28.08 million 3G subscribers.
Meanwhile, China United Network Communications Co. Ltd. (China Unicom) and China Telecommunications Corp. (China Telecom) reported 8.5 million and 7.75 million 3G subscribers respectively, according to a previous Interfax report.
