BYD signs energy storage agreement with China Southern Power Grid
Shanghai. September 28. INTERFAX-CHINA - BYD Co. Ltd., a domestic auto and electronic products manufacturer, on Sept. 27 signed a framework agreement with China Southern Power Grid Corp. (CSPG) to supply batteries for one of CSPG's energy storage projects, state media reported Sept. 28.
According to China Securities Journal, BYD will supply its iron batteries for CSPG's 3-megawatt (MW) energy storage project in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province.
The project is expected to be operational by December this year and will focus on improving the efficiency of Guangdong's power grid network.
