Net capital outflow from Russia $4.2 bln in Q3

MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax) - The net outflow of capital from Russia came to $4.2 billion in the third quarter, the Central Bank of Russia estimated on Tuesday.

Russia had a net outflow of $14.9 billion in the first quarter and a net inflow of $3.1 billion in the second. Thus, the net outflow was $16.0 billion through the first nine months of the year compared with a net outflow of $65.4 billion in the same period last year.

Russian banks saw a net inflow of $8.3 billion in the third quarter following net inflows of $0.8 billion in the first quarter and $6.8 billion in the second.

Companies in other sectors had a net outflow of $12.4 billion in the third quarter, following outflows of $15.8 billion in the first quarter and $3.7 billion in the second.

The banks had a net inflow of $15.9 billion through the first nine months of the year and companies in other sectors had a net outflow of $31.9 billion.
