Aeroflot, Svyazinvest to be included in privatization plan for next few years

MOSCOW. Oct 15 (Interfax) - Aeroflot Russian Airlines and Svyazinvest may be included in the privatization program being prepared by the government, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said in the State Duma.

"We will carry out a big privatization programThe stakes include oil companies to a minor extent, but also a host of other companies in various areas, from Aeroflot to Svyazinvest," Kudrin said.

The privatization program has received "a great deal of attention from Russian and foreign investors, because not only will it partially resolve the budget deficit issue, but it will reduce the state's stake in businesses, increase the number of shares circulating on the market," he said.

The government targets $10 billion in privatization revenue a year over five years, he said.

The government plans to examine the 2011-2013 privatization program in the second half of November.
