We need to obey sanctions and encourage Iran to cooperate - Medvedev

DEAUVILLE. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said that it is necessary both to obey adopted sanctions in relations with Iran and to encourage Tehran to cooperate on all of the issues.

"We have agreed that we will try to follow the approaches that have already been formulated. On one hand, we should follow earlier approved sanctions, but, on the other hand, we should encourage Iran to cooperate on all of the issues," Medvedev said at a news conference after talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
