Russian govt ready to sell 8% in RusHydro by 2013 - Shuvalov

MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - The Russian government is ready to sell 8% in OJSC RusHydro by 2013, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov told journalists at a briefing on Wednesday.

"We could sell a 7.97% packet by 2013," Shuvalov said.

He added that the Russian government would retain control in the generating company at this stage.

"At the same time, between 2012 and 2015, we will look for an investor for the next packet. We could sell additional shares in RusHydro, thereby lowering the state's stake to a blocking packet," he said.
