Kamaz posts 474 mln rubles Q3 losses

MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Kamaz had net losses of 474.087 million rubles to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) in Q3 2010, compared with profit of 12.128 million rubles in the same period of last year, the truck maker said.

It said the losses were caused by a reduction in operating profit and exchange-rate differences.

It was reported earlier that Kamaz posted a net loss of 124.7 million rubles in the first half of 2010 compared with a net loss of 1.623 billion rubles in the same period of 2009. Thus, the company lost 598.8 million rubles in the first nine months of 2010 compared with 4.316 billion rubles in the same period last year.

Kamaz plans to publish IFRS results for the first half in November.

Kamaz produced 23,910 trucks in January-September, 31% more than in the same period last year, or about the same as the company produced all last year.

Kamaz sold 47,700 trucks in 2008 and about 26,000 in 2009.
