Russia-Ukraine trade reaches pre-crisis level - Putin

KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The normalization of Ukrainian-Russian relations has had a positive impact on business cooperation between the neighboring countries, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said.

"As a result of this policy, which you [the Ukrainian president] have formulated, our political component has been transformed into economic results," Putin said at a meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The volume of trade between Ukraine and Russia grew 77% between January and September 2010, the Russian prime minister said.

"We have practically reached the pre-crisis level," he said.
