Russia, Ukraine agree to build plant
MOSCOW. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Russia's TVEL and Ukraine's Nuclear Fuel have signed an agreement to construct a facility in Ukraine to produce fuel for the country's VVER 1000 reactors, an Interfax correspondent reported from the signing ceremony.
The agreement was signed by TVEL President Yury Olenin and Nuclear Fuel CEO Tetiana Amosova on the sidelines of a meeting chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries.
The agreement spells out the key terms and parameters of the plant's construction that are based on the competitive offer from TVEL.
