Dollar, euro dip at MICEX open
MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - The dollar and euro dipped slightly as the MICEX opened Tuesday amid rising world oil prices and anticipatory positions on global markets.
The dollar opened at 30.69-30.785 rubles/$1 in MICEX Tomorrow trades, moving to hold at around 30.76 rubles/$1 in the first minute of trading. That was less than 1-2 kopecks difference from Monday close and the official exchange rate for the day.
The euro began trading at 42.85 rubles/EUR1, or 4-5 kopecks under Monday close and 13 kopecks lower than the official exchange rate.
The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) slipped a slight 1-2 kopecks to 36.2 rubles.
