SOCAR ships Russia some 700 mcm of gas in Jan-Oct

BAKU. Nov 3 (Interfax) - State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) exported 698.637 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas in January-October, the company's official website says.

Azerbaijan exported 80.633 mcm of gas just in October.

Russian gas giant Gazprom and SOCAR signed a purchase agreement for Azerbaijani gas on October 14, 2009. Since the first of this year, Azerbaijani gas has for the first time been sent to Russia through the gas-measuring station Shirvanovka.

SOCAR exported 278.463 mcm of gas to Georgia in Jan-Sept, including 31.108 mcm just in October.

Another 273.706 mcm of gas was delivered to the Nakhichevan autonomous republic during the ten months, 10.084 mcm in October.

The company pumped 1.639 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas into underground storage in Azerbaijan during the period, 326.231 mcm just in October.
