Inter RAO production block chief becomes OGK-1 executive director

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Head of the production block at OJSC Inter RAO UES Pavel Oklei has been tapped for the post of executive director at genco OJSC OGK-1 , which the power holding operates, Inter RAO announced.

Oklei joined Inter RAO in early November, to take charge of the operating activities at the holding's production assets. He succeeded Sergei Tolstoguzov, who is now an advisor to Inter RAO's CEO.

From 2008 to August of this year, Oklei was deputy general director and technical director at OJSC IDGC Holding.

Inter RAO UES is state-controlled through the state nuclear power corporation Rosatom and Vnesheconombank (VEB). It is a monopoly in the field of importing and exporting electric power, and controls a number of generating and grid assets in Russia and abroad. The combined generating capacity of the power stations it owns and operates is roughly 18 gWt. The company will soon be conducting an additional share issue for the purpose of consolidating power assets worth in aggregate up to $10 billion.
