Dollar dips, euro up in early Monday MICEX trading

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - The dollar slipped but the euro gained on the MICEX as trading began on Monday, while the ruble dipped slightly against the bicurrency basket.

The dollar opened slumping some 12 kopecks from Friday close to 30.98-30.99 rubles/$1, but remaining 3-4 kopecks above Monday's official exchange rate.

The euro began the trading day at 42.6 rubles/EUR1, or 13 kopecks over Friday close and 24 kopecks higher than the official exchange rate.

The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) started Monday up about a kopeck at 36.2-36.22 rubles.
