MICEX trading opens Monday with share-price gains
MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Share-trading on Russia's MICEX Stock Exchange began the week with blue-chip price gains as world trading floors and oil climbed on news the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would be extending an aid package to Ireland.
By 10:31 a.m. Moscow time, the MICEX index was up 0.58% 1565.83 points, the RTS index had risen 1% to 1616.98, and most benchmark shares had gained up to 1%.
VTB was up 0.9% on the MICEX, Gazprom had climbed 0.5%, Gazprom Neft 0.9%, Norilsk Nickel 1%, Lukoil 0.5%, Polyus Gold 0.2%, Rosneft 0.5%, Rostelecom 0.2%, Sberbank of Russia 0.9%, Surgutneftegas 0.4%, and Tatneft 0.6%.
