Gazprom wants major new projects with BASF - Miller
BERLIN. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Gazprom would like to carry out major new projects with German BASF, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said on Monday at a ceremony market 20 years of cooperation between the two companies.
"It would of course be desirable to implement major new projects on the growing market for gas and products from it," Miller said. "I am confident that taking into account market liberalization, our partnership with BASF will become more and more global, expanding beyond the borders of Europe. I am confident that we will make a big contribution to the development of ties between Europe and Russia," Miller said.
It was reported earlier that BASF could potentially take part in the South Stream pipeline project, the project to develop the Achim horizons at the Urengoi field, and the Eastern Gas Program.
Miller said cooperation with BASF had been a success from the very start. "All of the projects we carried out have been successes: complex from the technological standpoint and from the standpoint of business models," Miller said.
