CenterTelecom boosts net profit 30% in 9 mths

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - CenterTelecom posted a net profit of 6.17 billion rubles in January-September 2010 under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), 30% more than in the same period last year (4.76 billion rubles), the company said in materials.

Revenue rose 9.5% to 30 billion rubles and operating profit was up 9.8% to 9.17 billion rubles. Pretax profit rose to 7.85 billion rubles from 6.15 billion rubles.

CenterTelecom is the incumbent fixed-line operator in the Central Federal District. It has over 6.4 million subscribers and provides telephony, Internet access, data transmission and broadcast and cable television service, as well as mobile communications in Tambov region. Svyazinvest owns 50.69% of ordinary shares (38.02% of charter capital).
