Putin not ruling out grain market commodity intervention

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is not excluding the possibility of commodity intervention on Russia's grain market, in other words, selling grain from the country's Intervention Fund to stabilize prices.

"We have this possibility in mind, this is what we created the Fund for, and we will decide on the moment for the sales and take the corresponding actions on the market," Putin said at a selector meeting on Monday dedicated to providing aid to growers who were harmed by this summer's fierce heat and drought.
